Flashback

22nd June 2023

This is just a flashback to my student work a few years ago. I’ve been doing a huge reorganisation of my studio space and finding old pieces I’d forgotten about.

  • drawing
  • drawing hands
  • hands sketch
  • portrait in monochrome
  • picture of drawing

I will always find hands fascinating. They can be a dead giveaway when we’ve been trained so well to use our faces as masks. I will definitely be returning to them at some point but for now, I’m happy to work on some more surreal still life pieces I’ll be sharing in a few weeks.

I hope you like them!

Blooming

I’m loving the heat lately, it’s injected new life in to the garden – roses, ivy, climbers, camellia, lily of the valley are all flourishing! So glad we held on to the larger shrubs and hedging. People underestimate how vital these are for wildlife.
